SUMMARY:Project ImPACT (12 sessions over 6 weeks)
DESCRIPTION:Project ImPACT (Improving Parents as Communication Teachers) is a 12-session program that will help you and your child (ages 1-4 years) increase social communication, imitation and play skills throughout daily routines and activities.\nHighly qualified clinicians will coach you as the expert on your child. Together, you and the clinician will develop priority goals and activities to support your child’s learning throughout the day.\nProject ImPACT uses a combination of developmental and applied behaviour analysis (ABA) strategies to increase social communication skills in four main areas: social engagement, language, social imitation and play.\nSchedule\nThe program consists of 12 sessions delivered once per week over 12 weeks (a caregiver workshop and a one-on-one coaching session on alternate weeks).\nCaregiver Workshops:\nJuly 13 – Aug 17, 2026 | 1 Day (Monday) | 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm \nCoaching Sessions:\nJuly 14 – August 21, 2026 | 1 Day (Tus-Fri) | One hour coaching sessions will be scheduled with families individually. \nIndividual Booster Sessions: Individual booster sessions will be scheduled with families when the 12 sessions are completed. \nPlease note that you must have received an invitation letter for Caregiver-Mediated Early Years Services and be registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) to be eligible for this service. Based on OAP guidelines, only one Early Years Caregiver Service is available per 12-month period. \n   \n
